Editor’s Word

Welcome to the York Politics Review, the official student journal of the UoY Politics Department and associated with York Politics Society, offering broad political opinion and analysis of both domestic and international affairs. We are student-run and publish articles and content from students, academics and guest contributors, and are based at the University of York. We aim to provide up to date, in-depth analysis from across the political world as well as interviews and features closer to home.

It is a tumultuous time for politics both at the domestic and international level. New ideologies coming to the fore, ideologies thought redundant in resurgence, and the old order of things breaking apart. Coupled with forces previously unseen at the international level and states eager to threaten the established hierarchy, it is an uncertain time in world politics.

One thing is certain, however, The York Politics Review will analyse events with incision, intellect, and integrity.
